Skipton Castle - Year 3 - Thursday 27 April 2017
Year 3/4 Trip to Skipton Castle
To support our Learning Challenge Question ‘Why were Norman Castles not Bouncy?’ children in Years 3 and 4 will be visiting Skipton Castle. The day offers children the opportunity to experience a Norman built castle through a guided tour.
The children should wear school uniform and have waterproof coat and sensible shoes. Children will need a packed lunch and drink for the day. Children should bring a packed lunch, which we will have in either one of the lunchrooms or as a picnic in the grounds depending on the weather. If you would like a packed lunch from school, please complete the form attached. We will leave school at 9.15am and will return by 3.15. The trip has been booked for your child's year group on the following day:
Wednesday 26th April 2017- Year 4
Thursday 27th April 2017 – Year 3
The cost of the trip is £11 per child. We are asking for a voluntary contribution for this amount to cover the cost of the trip. Please either return the form below, enclosing £11 or pay and consent online via ParentPay. Children entitled to free school meals will have this cost met centrally, but consent is still required. If you are experiencing any difficulty paying for the trip, please contact the school office.
A visit to the shop is scheduled as part of the day. If you wish for your child to visit the shop, please allow them to bring a maximum of £2.00 to spend, for which they must take full responsibility. We welcome parent volunteers for the day; please contact your child's class teacher.
Please complete and return the consent form by Thursday 30 March 2017.
