Magna Year 4

Year 3/4 visit to Magna

Tuesday 14th January 2020 - Year 4

Next term, we will be exploring the question ‘What makes the Earth angry?’ For our WOW start, we have arranged for the children to visit Magna, the Science Adventure Centre, in Rotherham. This is a renowned centre, which expertly brings science to life. During the day, the children will take part in a workshop about volcanoes and explore the interactive exhibitions at the centre relating to water, earth, fire and air. A visit to the shop is scheduled as part of the day.  You can visit the Magna website for more details at

We will leave school at 9.00am and will return by 4.00pm (we will update Twitter with an arrival time during the journey). Children will wear full school uniform. If you want your child to visit the shop, please allow them to bring a maximum of £3.00 to spend, for which they must take full responsibility.

We are asking for a voluntatry contribution of £14.00 per child to cover the cost of the trip. Please consent and pay via Parentpay by Tuesday 17 December. Children entitled to free school meals will have this cost met centrally. If your child is entitled to school meals, please email to confirm consent.  If you have questions about meeting the cost of the trip, please contact the office.

Children will need a packed lunch and drink for the day. If you would like a packed lunch from school, please complete the form attached.  As always, we welcome parent volunteers for whom there is a limited number of places on the coach, please contact your child's class teacher if you wish to help.

Yours sincerely,

The Year 3 / 4 team
